Design Coordinator - Main Contractor

Up to £65k

About the Company:

Our client is a high end main contractor who specialise in bespoke residential and mixed use developments. They have built their reputation outside of the UK and are now starting to grow in London. They pride themselves on an excellent eye for detail and real stand out London projects.


About the Role:


Pre Tender:


  • Responsibility for the technical aspects of the tender submission making sure that the tender bid is compliant with the tender documents and that the technical submission is of the highest quality
  • Assisting with the tender process in evaluation achieving a costeffective solution to the design by coordinating the design team and subcontractors

Post Tender:


  • Establishing and maintaining effective communication between the Project Teams, Client's Team, Design Consultants, Statutory Bodies and subcontractors
  • Developing and monitoring design programs
  • Reviewing the scope of services from architects and consultants, identify risks in design
  • Controlling and reviewing design documents such as drawings for approval and distribution
  • Maintaining an accurate Document Register
  • Chairing design meetings, workshops etc. to coordinate the consultants and subcontractors
  • Carrying out design content checks
  • Providing a single point of reference for design related queries within the business

About the benefits / rewards:

The salary will be dependent on the level of exposure to the main contractor residential industry. The company offers excellent opportunities and offers a basic salary in the region of £55,000 - £65,000. In addition to the basic salary there will be company benefits.


Requirements:

5 + years' experience in Building Construction Projects within London

Working knowledge of plans, prints, specifications, and schematics associated with trade.

Construction procedures and practices.

Computer literate.

Possess excellent communication and organizational skills.


Salary:
£55,000.00-£65,000.00 per year
