As we continue to expand our operations and undertake new ventures, we are seeking a skilled and experienced Clerk of Works to ensure the highest standards of construction quality and compliance on our projects.

The Clerk of Works plays a critical role in overseeing construction activities, ensuring adherence to specifications, standards, and regulations.

As a vital member of the project team, the Clerk of Works will be responsible for monitoring construction progress, conducting inspections, and providing expert guidance to uphold the integrity and quality of MAH Construction Group Ltd.'s projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct regular site inspections to monitor construction activities and ensure compliance with project specifications, drawings, and relevant standards.
Verify that materials used in construction meet specified requirements and standards, and report any deviations or discrepancies to the project management team.
Collaborate closely with contractors, subcontractors, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to address constructionrelated issues and resolve technical queries.
Maintain detailed records of site activities, including daily logs, inspection reports, and photographic documentation of construction progress and quality.
Review and interpret construction drawings, plans, and specifications to verify accuracy and identify any potential conflicts or discrepancies.
Monitor adherence to health and safety regulations and best practices on site, promoting a culture of safety and compliance among all project personnel.
Provide technical guidance and support to site staff and subcontractors, ensuring understanding and implementation of project requirements.
Participate in site meetings, progress reviews, and quality assurance audits, providing input and recommendations to improve construction processes and outcomes.
Identify and report on any construction defects, deficiencies, or noncompliance issues, and work with the project team to implement corrective actions.
Liaise with local authorities, building inspectors, and regulatory agencies as necessary to ensure compliance with relevant codes and regulations.

Qualifications:

Diploma or degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience as a Clerk of Works or similar role, preferably in the construction industry.
Sound knowledge of construction methods, materials, and techniques, with a focus on quality assurance and compliance.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify and resolve constructionrelated issues effectively.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse project stakeholders.
Familiarity with relevant health and safety regulations and construction standards.
Certification or accreditation as a Clerk of Works (e.g., ICWCI) is desirable but not essential.
Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites as required.

£17,901.58-£53,184.70 per year
