Smart Solutions is working with a world leading manufacturer who are seeking a time served Maintenance Technician to be part of a core maintenance team, respond to and resolve equipment breakdowns, carry out planned preventative maintenance and improvement schemes on equipmentShift Pattern:
2 week rotation of 6.30am – 4.15 pm Mon – Thurs and afternoons 11.30am- 9.15 Mon – Thurs
Duties of the Maintenance Technician:
To resolve all equipment breakdowns, complete improvement tasks and planned maintenance.
Carry out maintenance health and safety and environmental tasks - Understanding of legionella checks, fire alarm system checks, permits to work, risk assessments etc.
Support the team in updating various spreadsheets (weekly maintenance workload, team efficiencies)Requirements of the Maintenance Technician:
Preventative maintenance experience, ideally within a manufacturing environment will be an advantage.
Good mechanical and electrical skills - Familiar with fault finding in panels, inverters, motors, switchgear, installation work, P.L.C,s (siemens S5 & S7).Hydraulics, pneumatics, fabrication, welding, press and injection moulding experience beneficial but not essential.
Lean technique knowledge (Kaizen, 5S, Six Sigma, autonomous maintenance).City & Guilds or O.N.C in mechanical or electrical engineering a benefit.
