We are looking for a talented individual to join our team as the Head of Applications and Platforms. If you have a proven track record in directing digital projects and possess the essential skills to lead teams through the distinct phases of a product lifecycle, we want to hear from you.


Working directly to the Chief Digital Information Officer (CDIO) and part of the divisional Senior Management Team, the Head of Applications and Platforms will provide strategic leadership to the Technology and Platforms function and will play a pivotal role in coaching and leading teams in Agile practices, driving innovative ways of working, and advocating for digital expertise.


You will be responsible for developing a long-term vision and objectives, articulating credible business cases, and aligning them with strategic priorities.

Additionally, you will be at the forefront of identifying and implementing solutions for assisted digital, while continuously improving processes and delivery in line with industry best practices.

  • C3 salary between £83,725 £84,858 plus a £5000 annual Digital, Data and Technology (DDaT) pay supplement after a 3 month qualifying period. This supplement is backdated and paid with your monthly salary.

Pay Supplement

Hybrid Working
We embrace a hybrid working style where all colleagues will spend time in either our Glasgow or Dundee offices. There is an expectation of a minimum of 2 days per week in your assigned location. Base office location can be in either Dundee or Glasgow.

  • Identifying and implementing solutions for assisted digital
  • Keeping abreast of industry best practices and making operations efficient
  • Acting as the escalation point for major operational issues and championing operational management across the community
  • Anticipating problems and mitigating them at the right time
  • Developing the capability of others and providing direction on tools or methods to use
  • Meeting the needs of users across a variety of channels and bringing insight and expertise in how user needs have changed over time
