Description

We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated Research Assistant to join Professor Adrian Hill's pre-erythrocytic malaria (PEM) research group at the Jenner Institute, Nuffield Department of Medicines.

You will support the general program of immunology within the PEM group and occasionally other vaccine trials as necessary.

You will participate in the research programme led by Professor Adrian Hill to develop vaccines for PE malaria and adapt experimental protocols.

You will perform immunological assays to measure responses induced by such vaccines in Phase I, II and III vaccine trials in Oxford.

This job includes general lab duties (maintaining supplies, consumables and equipment); processing samples, preparing reagents; cataloguing frozen samples; maintaining inventories; and some data analysis.

You will gather, analyse data and present them to the Senior Immunologist and wider group. You will perform research work to a high standard and undertake clinical trials immunology and administration to GCP standard.


This position is offered full time on a fixed term contract for 24 months and is funded by the Serum Institute of India.
