    About Your Opportunity:


    The Electronic Repair Technician (ERT) will undertake the diagnosis and repair of those items within the facility as directed by Line Management.

    On infrequent occasions the ERT may be required to undertake off site activities under the supervision of a Northrop Grumman (NG) Field Service Representative (FSR).

    A unique and exciting opportunity to support the military operations.

    As a key member of the Chester technical team, this role provides essential technical support to the Large Aircraft InfraRed CounterMeasures (LAIRCM) system installed on the MoD and Voyager aircraft.

    Your Responsibilities:
    The diagnosis and repair of avionic units in a timely manner to a high standard.

    Observe safe working practices.

    To be meticulous in the recording of repair and engineering data, both written and computer-based.

    Preparation of equipment for shipping.


    On occasions the ERT may be required to undertake off site activities under the supervision of a Northrop Grumman (NG) Field Service Engineer (FSR).

    Supporting Field Service activities, covering for periods of absences, surge or additional program testing


    Your Experience:
    NVQ Level 4 in Electronics, equivalent or relevant work experience.

    Educated to GCSE standard with passes that include English and mathematics.

    IT literate and have a verifiable working knowledge of Microsoft Office

    To be able to work flexibly under pressure while carrying out the instructions of line management.

    Experience in the repair of Military or Civilian avionic systems (Desirable)

    The Chester team are a small-dedicated and committed group, comprising of a Senior Operations Manager, an Operations manager, a Project administrator and two other Technicians, operating from an the Chester Facility.

    The team work closely together and support each other across all levels of program/customer support.

    The team also has systems engineering support from our program management in the States and as well as the wider NGUKL group.

    Collaborating and sharing ideas and opportunities to provide the customer with the best support possible.
