Perm role, £18.35p/hr, Days, Mon-Fri, 45hr week, x3 Life Assurance, Private Medical Insurance, Cycle to Work Scheme

Interaction Recruitment are looking for an experienced Mechanical Fitter to work for their Manufacturing client, based near to Selby. Working under the Engineering Manager, you must be a proactive and hands-on mechanical fitter assisting in all areas of the Manufacturing department.

Day to day tasks will include:

-To safely maintain, refurbish and repair on site Machinery

Assisting in the manufacture and testing of any new Machinery

Mechanical fitting/assembling of Engineering parts

Using a variety of hand tools

Working to engineering drawings

Keeping the Shop Floor clean and tidy

-To continue to encourage participation, innovation and creativity to improve the working environment

Key skills and qualifications required for this role are:

-Must hold a suitable, recognised Mechanical qualification and relevant experience

-Electrical qualifications would be beneficial

-Ability to work under own initiative

-Must be self-motivated and able to re-prioritise workloads

-Must be well organised and have good attention to detail

-Must always look for ways for improving processes

-Must have the ability to solve problems in a timely manner

You will be required to work on the Day shift, working a 45hr week, Monday to Friday from 7am to 4pm. Some flexibility in this may be required. The Pay Rate for the role is £18.35p/hr and the role is advertised as a Permanent position.
