- Management of estimating new projects from inception to submission.
- Setting up estimates, tender packs and applicable trackers.
- Communicating with internal stakeholders and external Suppliers & Clients.
- Preparing take-offs for LV/MV Cabling and Containment systems from drawings.
- Inputting take offs and quotes to relevant estimate formats.
- Produce bills of quantities, schedules of work and contractors' proposal documents to support bids.
- Assist in the handing over to the operational delivery team.
- Develop strong inter-departmental relationships working closely with Contracts Managers, QS's and Design/Engineering department.
- Self-motivated to ensure that project deadlines are achieved.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work on own initiative & as part of a team to manage workload efficiently.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to read and understand electrical drawings.
- High attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office especially Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to communicate effectively to both technical and non- technical clients.
- Qualifications in Mathematics & English (5+ GCSE or above) demonstrating a strong numerical skillset.
- Experience as an estimator or an electrical background would be advantageous.
