The firm is privately funded and so allows for flexibility in how the business invests and stability to anyone joining the business.

Our client is in need of an experienced stand along accountant/controller to work closely with the COO.

Though ideally the person needs to be a Spanish speaker with the right accounting pedigree and experience to bring confidence and control to the role.

Some of the key responsibilities.

  • Preparation of monthly management accounts, general ledger, trial balance. Payments and monthly statements general recording and accounting of transactions.
  • Preparation of interim and annual financial statements
  • Preparation of notes to consolidated financial statements
  • Support in review of financial statements sent by subsidiaries
  • Support and preparation of annual tax returns
  • Active participation during external audit processes
  • Budget
  • Accounting analysis and provisions
Example of areas of involvement and role in the company's audit

  • Participation in the planning and execution of internal audit
  • Coordination and consolidation of information from the internal audit departments of the different subsidiaries to the parent company.
  • Participation and leadership in the planning and execution of Audits to Financial Statements under IFRS.
  • In general have a proactive attitude towards research, analysis and evaluation of internal control, areas for improvement proposals and risk mitigation in different company areas.


Our client is looking for a qualified accountant with a strong handle of IFRS and has the Spanish speaking languages also.
