    Immediate start available - £40,000 - £50,000 p/a + 10% bonus + Band A Car

    My client, a leader in advanced system integration within the Energy sector, is seeking a Project Manager to oversee upgrades and modifications to existing Transmission substation protection and control systems. This role involves managing projects for National Grid and other customers in the Power Transmission industry.

    Summary of Role:

    They require a Project Manager with experience delivering projects in Power Transmission or related disciplines, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meeting customer expectations.

    Role Description:

    • Manage projects ranging from £50K to £600K, overseeing all aspects from inception to delivery.
    • Ensure projects meet specified requirements, budget constraints, and customer satisfaction.
    • Take financial responsibility for projects and manage subcontracts effectively.
    • Lead and motivate a team of engineers across hardware, software, and installation functions.
    • Ensure compliance with Quality, Environmental, Health & Safety standards.
    • Conduct regular progress meetings with clients and contribute to securing future business.

    Essential Requirements:

    • Demonstrable project management experience in an engineering industry, ideally within Power Transmission or a similarly regulated sector.
    • Proficiency in planning and scheduling using Microsoft Project.
    • Excellent communication skills for engaging with internal and external stakeholders.
    • Strong commercial awareness with the ability to identify and address risks and issues.
    • Proven track record of achieving project goals in terms of timescales, margins, quality, and customer satisfaction.
    • Experience in subcontractor management and effective leadership.

    Desirable Requirements:

    • Familiarity with NEC3/4 contracts.
    • Progress towards or completion of APM Practitioner Qualification or equivalent Project Management Course.
    • Experience in project proposals and bid work.
