We are looking for a Barista to join us in this exciting opportunity in the newly redeveloped destination venue The Sands Centre.


Role


The Baristas job is to work under the supervision of the Café Manager to prepare food on the day and in advance, to deliver the best possible quality of food and service to our customers.

The café will serve freshly baked goods and coffee and the Barista will be key in delivering. We are looking for must have a real passion for coffee and events. We are a friendly, decent bunch and we respect our people, places and planet.

We want someone who has a real drive and enthusiasm for their job, as well as for their colleagues and the company.

Key Deliverables
The Barista will assist alongside the Café Manager in all aspects from serving customers to prepping and preparing the simple menu items for the day for both the café and the daily catering for

  • Grinding and brewing coffee
  • Developing and maintaining expert knowledge of coffee and educating clients and colleagues about these coffees
  • Consistently providing wellcrafted, beautifully presented and tasty beverages
  • Taking client orders and receiving payment
  • Speaking and interacting with both new and regular customers
  • Maintaining a clean and sanitised working environment
  • Following health and safety guidelines
  • Following recipes and presentations for food and beverage items, if needed
  • Being aware of and following operational policies and procedures
  • Being punctual and maintaining regular and consistent attendance
  • The ability to work flexible hours and shifts which may include early mornings, late nights, weekends and bank holidays

If part time:


  • We are in need of a 16 hour a week employee
  • You are employed on a 0 hours contract
  • Shifts can be booked on Hickory's scheduling software
  • The minimum shift we'll ask you to work is 4 hours
- £11 per hour
  • Accredited Living Wage
  • Payments are made weekly in arrears directly into your bank account

Salary:
£11.00 per hour
