    The role:


    We are looking for an exceptional individual to join our senior leadership team, to help us buildour business and to scale our operations to meet increased customer demand.

    Joining at apivotal stage in our growth ambitions, you'll be responsible for ensuring that we have thefinances, resources and processes in place to promote scaling.

    As appropriate for our stage,our employee team is lean, but we expect you to grow your team over time to meet thechallenges of the business, within the constraints of our financing.


    Your key responsibilities will include:

    Leadership:
    Partner with the broader executive team to drive operational and strategic initiatives across the organisation


    Finance:
    Lead all areas of the finance function, including finance, compliance, tax, treasury, financial planning & analysis, accounts receivable and accounts payable

    Legal & Compliance:

    Coordinate with external providers to ensure contracts are reviewed and approved in line with company policies and legal requirements.

    Ensure that company operations comply with laws and regulations applicable to the business.

    Act as a liaison between the company and external advisors, ensuring that the company receives timely and effective legal advice and representation.


    HR:
    Oversee the company HR function including the recruitment, development, and retention strategies for team members. Oversee compensation practices and benefits administration. Ensure compliance with labour and workplace regulations.


    Fundraising & Investor Relations:
    Support the CEO in identifying potential investors and in communicating the investment story to interested investors.

    Develop strong trusting working relationships with the company's investors and ensure that they are kept appropriately informed of the company's progress.


    Company Secretary:
    Oversee corporate governance matters, including board meetings, annual reports, and filings with regulatory authorities. Responsible for ensuring that the company's legal resources (internal or external) scale with the needs of the company.


    If you have the following experience, we'd love to hear from you:15+ years in operations roles with increasing responsibility, including prior leadership roles as a COO for or part of a company.

    Prior senior management experience in a SaaS businessHighly motivated, with a drive to get things done - no matter how big or small the task may be.

    Deep connections to the London startup ecosystem.
    Mission-driven spirit - ideally coupled with a love of nature.
    Extensive experience in fundraising, financial planning and analysis, strategic planning, and corporate finance.
    Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.
    Proactive problem solver – proven ability to identify, define and solve problems and manage. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
