Key Responsibilities:
Provide expert guidance and support to our regulatory services teamAssist in leading and managing operational activitiesContribute to strategic development and business planningFoster partnerships with key agencies to enhance service deliveryEnsure compliance with legislation and council policiesRepresent the council at meetings, conferences, and public inquiries

Principal Accountabilities:
Manage and develop a team of staff to achieve targets and objectivesProvide expert advice on regulatory mattersPrepare legal documents and appear as a witness in court proceedingsAnalyze information and present findings to stakeholdersCollaborate with customers and partners to improve service deliveryPromote innovation and continuous improvement

Person Specification:
Relevant degree or equivalent professional qualificationMinimum of 2 years' experience in Private Sector Housing Enforcement & LicensingDetailed knowledge of regulatory functions and obligationsStrong communication and IT skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamExperience in managing complex caseloads and prioritizing tasks
