Description

Responsibilities:

Develop and implement comprehensive fundraising plans in collaboration with nonprofit organization leadership.

Build and maintain relationships with individual donors, corporate partners, foundations, and community stakeholders to secure financial support.

Cultivate donor relationships through personalized engagement strategies, ensuring continued involvement and donor retention.

Organize and coordinate fundraising campaigns and events, including donor recognition activities, community outreach initiatives, and fundraising drives.


Create compelling fundraising materials, including grant proposals, donor solicitation letters, and impact reports, tailored to the local community and donor interests.


Conduct research to identify potential funding sources, including grants, sponsorships, and partnerships, aligning them with the mission and programmes of the nonprofit organization.


Collaborate with marketing and communications teams to develop and implement effective strategies to promote fundraising initiatives and engage the local community.


Monitor fundraising progress, track donations, and generate reports to assess campaign effectiveness, inform future strategies, and share outcomes with donors.

Provide guidance and support to volunteers and board members involved in fundraising activities.

Stay updated on fundraising trends, best practices, and legal regulations to ensure compliance and maximise fundraising opportunities.

Conduct prospect research to identify new funding opportunities and potential major donors within the residential territory.


Represent the nonprofit organization at community events, networking functions, and donor meetings to expand the organization's reach, foster relationships, and solicit support.


Collaborate with program managers to align fundraising initiatives with the organization's mission and goals, ensuring a strong connection between donor support and impact.

Support donor recognition efforts, ensuring timely and meaningful acknowledgment of donations.


Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in nonprofit management, philanthropy, fundraising, or a related field (preferred but not required).

Proven experience in fundraising, philanthropy, community engagement, or nonprofit development.

Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with the ability to connect and engage with diverse stakeholders.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to craft compelling fundraising materials and make persuasive presentations.

Strong organizational and project management skills to plan and execute fundraising campaigns and events.

Proficient in using fundraising software and donor management systems.

Familiarity with the local philanthropic community, funding sources, and cultural nuances.

Analytical skills to assess fundraising data, track progress, and generate reports.

High level of integrity, ethical standards, and respect for donor confidentiality.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines.

Pay:
£32,000.00-£42,730.60 per year


Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Gogar: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
