    We are currently seeking a proactive and experienced Senior Financial Accountant to join our team. You'll be responsible for leading all aspects of and delivering the monthly management accounts and associated financial, regulatory, and statutory reporting for SJP Wealth Management (SJPWM). Additionally, you will serve as the subject matter expert in the financial reporting of all UK remuneration across the Group.

    What you'll be doing:

  • Delivery and ownership of the SJPWM monthly management accounts.
  • Review, challenge, and sign-off the monthly SJPWM controls pack.
  • Provide senior management with relevant commentary on the financial performance of the business on a monthly basis.
  • Own and develop the SJPWM monthly management information and forecasts.
  • Conduct margin analysis to drive better understanding, disclosure, and communication of fee and commission margins within SJPWM.
  • Review, challenge, and sign-off the monthly remuneration control & Accelerated asset accounts.
  • Own and deliver the SJPWM statutory accounts and manage external audit queries.
  • Actively supervise, manage, and report the solvency status of SJPWM.
  • Provide oversight and delivery of the SJPWM regulatory reporting.
  • Delivery and oversight of management accounts, controls pack, and statutory accounts for SJPPCP.
  • Fulfil treasury responsibilities as an appointed payment authoriser.
  • People management may be required in this position, with the expectation of task management of at least one financial accountant to assist in job requirements.
  • Who we're looking for:

  • In-depth knowledge of financial accounting and ability to understand and interpret financial information.
  • Experience in the financial services sector, particularly with fees and commission.
  • Strong statutory accounting knowledge.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Demonstrates a strong understanding of relevant entities and challenges processes and outcomes, suggesting proposals & solutions.
  • Ability to communicate accounting principles/judgements to non-accountants.
  • Special Requirements:

  • Must be a post-qualified accountant.
