    About the role

    The postholder willprovide a comprehensive staffing and human resources service to allstaff within the department. They will ensure that all staff are awareof and adhere to UCL HR and staffing policies and procedures, andadvise staff accordingly.

    The postholder is responsible forproviding an efficient and proactive administrative service to supportthe delivery of LCN activities. They will take a lead in supportingEDI initiatives within the department and offer executive assistanceto the LCN Director. This includes the coordination of agendas,scheduling meetings and contacting attendees, booking rooms, writingappropriate summaries/reports, circulating papers, taking minutes andcoordinating follow up actions.

    This role is offered foran initial period of 12 months as a secondment to internal UCLcandidates only.

    About you

    We are looking for a friendly, flexible person who can be the maincontact for any HR queries in the LCN as well as provide someexecutive support for the Director, Professor Steven Bramwell. Youwill ideally have experience of supporting recruitment and on-boardingnew members of staff, dealing with visa queries and advising staff ongeneral HR matters. In this role you will have the opportunity to workindependently, with plenty of support from your colleagues and linemanager.

    A smaller part of the role will involve executiveassistance for Prof Bramwell, such as diary management, organisingmeetings and occasionally helping with travel bookings.

    Thiswill be an exciting role for someone who enjoys working in adepartment with a strong focus on research. The ideal candidate willbe able to work 2-3 days per week on site, with plenty of flexibilityoffered.
