Ortus Recruitment is seeking for an amazing Classroom Assistant to work with our partnered school based in the London Borough of Lambeth.

Our partnered specialist primary school is an ''Outstanding'' Ofsted rated school and is an enriching environment, where vulnerable children achieve far more than they ever expected.

This role will be a Full-Time position, which requires an individual who will commit to working from Monday - Friday, from 08:30am - 4pm, till the end of the academic year.

As a Classroom Assistant, you will connect directly with the brilliant children our partnered school cares for, helping to make sure they get the very best from their education.

Each individual has so much potential, and they will rely on you to guide their learning journeys.

Role Description:

You will help prepare learning materials and classroom activities, with plenty of hands-on experience and some supervision too.

You will take responsibility for their emotional and physical needs, supporting them to develop as individuals and engage with the world.

Supporting children with complex Social Emotional Mental Health (SEMH) needs is important and rewarding work, and you will benefit from the tremendous support offered by our hugely experienced teams.

As you help our children and young people achieve real and significant progress, you will enjoy having a direct, positive impact on their developing lives.

Requirements:

If you have experience working with children in a professional, social or school based environment and you are eager to help vulnerable children and young people to live happy, fulfilling lives, this is the role for you.

You will be adaptable and ready to work in a variety of classroom roles, both indoors and outside according to individual need.

Taking a responsive and caring approach, you may be running classroom activities, leading outdoor experiences, or supervising children as they explore further afield.
