    So, what will I be doing?

    As a Shift manager you will be accountable for all operational aspects of Cannington site whilst on shift .This is an opportunity to lead the day shift at one of our sites for an established, distinctive and ambitious food manufacturing company that is committed to nurturing and nourishing people and planet.

    The Salary for this Role will increase to £49,546 P/A on the 1st June. Key responsibilities:
  • Meeting operational plans (both production and hygiene)
  • Ensuring satisfactory handover of information to following shift, and escalate where appropriate
  • Financial budget adherence
  • Driving continuous improvement culture across the shift team, identifying improvement activities and following through to completion
  • Working with other shifts and stakeholders realizing improvement activities
  • Leading investigation/identification of root cause for health and safety breaches, food safety or quality breaches, or mechanical breakdowns
  • Sharing learnings and amending procedures to prevent reoccurrence
  • Maintaining shift training compliance and recording keeping
  • Ensuring all relevant Job Breakdown Sheets (standard operating procedures) are maintained
  • Site contact for external hygiene chemical supplier, ensuring maintenance of chemical stock levels are maintained
  • You will work a 4 on 4 off permanent day shift pattern, beginning work at 0600 and finishing at 1800.

  • Experience of working in FMCG manufacturing environments
  • Proven experience of working with Lean / root cause principles
  • Food Safety Level 3 / HACCP level 2
  • Even better if:
  • You have dairy experience
  • Experience of hygiene processes in food manufacturing environments
  • COSHH qualification
