    Are you an experienced, Maintenance Technician / Engineer, Mechanical but with good basic Electrical knowledge?

    Do you currently work in a production / manufacturing environment, carrying out both reactive and planned (PPM) maintenance on machinery including conveyors, motors and gearboxes?

    About the Role

  • The role is based from our MRF at Landor Street, Birmingham.
  • The positon offers a salary of £41,592 Plus a 15% shift allowance ( ££47,830) for a 42 hour week working 4 on 4 off Days and Nights 6-6. Plus up to 10% Bonus, 5% pension.
  • What will I be doing as a Maintenance Technician?

  • We'll look to you to provide planned and reactive maintenance for all areas of plant, making sure plant installations and modifications meet the latest standards and regulatory requirements.
  • At the same time, you'll be a valued member of the team, supporting colleagues across different functions.
  • Our junior staff will look to you for guidance and supervision, as will contractors.
  • What are the requirements?

  • To join us in this key position, you'll have a predominantly Mechanical background with basic Electrical knowledge, ideally with an Engineering Apprenticeship (or equivalent experience).
  • You'll have worked / be working in a Maintenance Engineer / Technician role in manufacturing / production engineering environments, having gained hands on knowledge of equipment including conveyors, motors, gearboxes, hydraulics and pneumatics with any basic electrical fault finding experience highly beneficial. Some fabrication knowledge would be an advantage.
  • Ideally qualified to City & Guilds/NVQ level 3.
  • IOSH is highly desirable, but not essential and can be gained
