This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Practice Lead to join the Intervention Hub.

The post will be based at the Portal, Ellesmere Port but primarily working within the Family Time Service providing relevant and high-quality family time for our care experienced children.

The Intervention Hub offers a locality wide support and intervention service to children known to Children's Social Care and requiring the support of Child in Need, Child Protection or Looked After Child planning.

Within this role you will be expected to travel across the borough between the Ellesmere Port/Neston, Chester and Northwich/Winsford districts within this role.


As a Senior Practice Lead you will join an organisation where the focus is on achieving the best outcomes for the children and families who we work with.

The Intervention Hub strives to have purposeful relationships where all our interventions can truly bring about change and make a real difference to the lives of children and young people.


The role of Senior Practice Lead - Interventions will require you to provide high-quality safeguarding supervision, manage a small team of workers from within the Intervention Hub, co-ordinate the delivery of group work and take a lead role in the developmental of all team members.

You should be skilled in the delivery of evidenced based interventions and have an excellent understanding of what works to effect long-term positive change to improve the welfare and life experiences of children, young people and their families.

You will work alongside social work teams to ensure the functioning of the Intervention Hub is meeting the needs of children and their families, be up to date with social work themes and practice and be a confident, experienced and skilled practitioner.
