    Job Title: Maintenance Engineer

    Salary: £40,000 - £45,000

    Location: Birmingham

    Contract: Permanent

    Role Overview – Maintenance Engineer

    My client is a leading tier 2 manufacturer who play a key part in producing key components for the automotive industry. They are looking for an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join them are their state-of-the-art facility in the West Midlands area. The successful candidate will be required to work on a double day shift basis.

    Key Responsibilities - Maintenance Engineer

    • Provide breakdown cover for both electrical and mechanical systems.
    • Possess a comprehensive knowledge of PLC controlled systems.
    • Experience in Injection Moulding is desirable.
    • Execute planned maintenance when required in line with preventative maintenance schedules.
    • Electronically record all relevant information pertaining to breakdowns and PMs.
    • Conduct modifications, plant relocations, and re-installations (both mechanical and electrical).
    • Adhere to the company's Health and Safety requirements, ensuring a safe working environment.
    • Manage contractors as necessary.
    • Collaborate with the Maintenance Manager to address recurring issues.
    • Undertake projects as directed by the Maintenance Manager.
    • Provide insights on spare part requirements to the Maintenance Manager.

    Key Qualifications & Experience – Maintenance Engineer

    • Apprentice trained or equivalent in electrical or mechanical engineering.
    • Injection moulding experience is desirable but not essential.
    • Familiarity with 17th/18th edition wiring regulations
    • Proficient in reading and working from engineering drawings.
    • Knowledge of PLC's
    • Familiarity with sensors and vision systems
    • Proficient in MS Office.
    • Experience in automotive manufacturing is preferred.
