Estimator Position Overview

1. Receive and review RFQ's and engineering drawings from the sales team
2. Liaise, communicate, and negotiate with suppliers to obtain subcontract costs
3. Prepare cost sheets for individual components and assemblies to deadlines, ready for the sales team to quote
4. Assist with preparation of production components and material which will involve working with various internal teams and uploading on to our ERP system
5. Work effectively with other members of the estimating department and wider business to achieve the most effective and competitive solutions
6. Supporting with business/costing queries on our ERP system through reviewing process routes and BOMs

Estimator Position Requirements

1. Computer literate is essential, with experience on Microsoft NAV Dynamics being a bonus
2. A pride in your work and a keen interest in the company's resulting performance
3. Commitment and drive to enhance the performance of the business
4. An excellent working knowledge of the mechanical engineering
5. Excellent interpersonal, communicative, listening, and negotiation skills
6. Ability to use own initiative as well as working effectively as part of a team
7. Effective time management skills with the ability to prioritise
8. Resilience when working to fixed deadlines
9. Accuracy and attention to detail

Estimator Position Remuneration

Full time - Permanent
Salary: £30,000 - £38,000 DOE
Working hours: 08:30am - 16:30pm Mon - Thur, 08:30am - 13:30pm Fri (35 hour week)
33 days holiday (Including BH)
