    About the Role:

    You'llmanage the running, monitoring and intervention of forecasting models across DraxEnergy Solutions (Drax), ensuing accurate and timely forecasts to enable ourtrading, pricing and finance teams to make cost effective decisions.

    Your proficiency in analysis will be crucial, as you'll be responsible for identifyingforecasting trends, extracting customer insights and pinpointing areas forimprovements throughout the forecasting process.

    Additionally, you will beexpected to formulate in-depth analyse regarding forecasting performance,whilst also ensuring the development and maintenance of suitable reporting.

    Theoutcomes and suggestions will be effectively communicated to fellow members ofCommercial and wider stakeholders.

    Problem-solving will be a significant component of yourresponsibilities.

    Not only will you manage the forecasting analysts, but you'llalso take the lead in resolving complex problems across the Forecasting &Analysis Team and business in general.

    It will be vital to develop strong connectionsbetween the Commercial Team and other keys business area like Renewables,Strategic Sales, and Finance to ensure alignment and collaboration.


    About you
    You'll have a high degree of numeracy with ability to understand, analyse, and identifytrends in data. Your competence should extend to presenting informationeffectively. Prior coding experience, specifically in SQL (with Python and VBA beinga desirable). You should be adapt at conducting comprehensive analysisindependently, requiring minimal support.

    You'll have an understanding ofenergy industry fundamentals and the ability to develop an understanding of thecommercial background to Drax Group market activities in order to help achieveour commercial goals.

    Problem solving skills are a must,being able to overcome obstacles in a methodical manner, as is the ability toapply analytical techniques rigorously in a sensible pragmatic way andunderstand their limitations.


    Ideally, you'll have managerialexperience and be confident supporting, mentoring and managing colleagues.
