Environment Artist - United Kingdom - Wushu Studios
Description
As part of a multidisciplinary development team, you will be responsible for creating realistic and believable environments and dressing these accordingly from white box.
Crafting realistic, natural and hard surface, interior and exterior environments.
Strong texturing abilityWorking closely with other disciplines to ensure environments help to form believable game worlds.
Collaborating closely with the art lead and partner studios to ensure the style is in keeping with the overall art direction.
Implementing correct file naming and directory structure requirements.Conducting research to inform environment development ensuring that created work is representative of real-world examples.
RequirementsProven experience creating large scale environments and dressing utilising 3D software within professional game development.
Proficient in the use of Substance Painter.
Strong attention to detail with a good eye for world building and storytellingAbility to work autonomously, self-critique work and respond accordingly.
Ability to supplement a provided brief with your own research and ideas while ensuring delivery of the brief's core requirements.
Understanding the necessity of an iterative approachAble to respond positively and proactively to constructive feedback.Professional and approachable when communicating with both internal and external stakeholders.
A strong understanding of the broader game development and art creation processExperience working with source control.
Willingness to adapt to using various software and engine/s as required.
