Description

Vendor Selection and Management:
Identify and evaluate potential suppliers and subcontractors.
Negotiate contracts and terms with vendors to secure favorable pricing and delivery terms.
Maintain and manage relationships with existing suppliers, ensuring timely delivery and quality products.


Material and Equipment Procurement:
Plan and execute procurement strategies to acquire raw materials, components, machinery, and equipment needed for manufacturing or construction projects.
Monitor inventory levels to prevent shortages or overstock situations.
Evaluate the quality of materials and equipment to ensure they meet industry standards and specifications.


Cost Management:
Analyze and control procurement costs to optimize the use of resources and reduce expenses.
Seek cost-saving opportunities through bulk purchasing, negotiations, and value analysis.


Supply Chain Optimization:
Ensure the availability of materials and components to meet production schedules or construction deadlines.
Optimize supply chain processes for efficiency and reliability.
Implement Just-In-Time (JIT) inventory strategies where applicable to minimize storage costs and improve efficiency.


Quality Assurance:
Work with suppliers to maintain and improve product quality, compliance with specifications, and adherence to industry standards.
Implement quality control and assurance measures to minimize defects and rework.


Risk Management:

Identify and mitigate potential risks in the supply chain, such as supply disruptions, quality issues, or changes in market conditions.

Develop contingency plans to address supply chain disruptions and shortages.


Market Research and Trend Analysis:
Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and price fluctuations for materials and equipment.
Use market research to make informed procurement decisions.


Budget Management:
Manage and adhere to budgets for procurement activities, ensuring cost-effectiveness and fiscal responsibility.


Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, contracts, and supplier performance.
Generate reports on procurement performance and cost savings.


Team Collaboration:

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as production, engineering, and project management, to align procurement activities with project timelines and goals.


Compliance and Ethics:
Ensure that all procurement activities adhere to legal and ethical standards, including compliance with industry regulations and corporate policies.


Continuous Improvement:
Seek opportunities to improve procurement processes, implement best practices, and stay updated on industry advancements and technologies.


Salary:
£30,000.00-£38,000.00 per year
