- Current Professional Registration with Nursing and Midwifery Council - RMN / RNLD/ RGN (RNSC - CAMHS Only)
- Recognised Practice Assessor/Practice Supervisor or currently in progress of achieving.
- Trained in Clinical Supervision and providing Clinical Supervision or in the process of achieving
- Postgraduate diploma in a subject relevant to the area Or be willing to work towards and achieve within 2 years
- And - Within the first year of being in post hold a recognised qualification in a governed therapy/advanced clinical qualification Intermediate Systemic Family Therapy/Post Grad diploma in CBT/British Isles Dialectical Behaviour Therapy /NMP (Independent Prescriber)
- And have Equivalent clinical experience to that of a Post Grad Diploma/master's level such as working as a band 6 (or above) in relevant clinical area with significant experience (see below under experience), together with evidence of relevant CPD

Job summary
Currently we are looking for Clinical Specialist Nurse to join the Darlington Community Gateway/HUB Team based at West Park Hospital.
If you are successful you will join the current established Leadership Team, and work closely with the Intervention and Treatment Leadership and wider team.
The Gateway/Hub Team are the front-end of the adult Mental Health Community Services based at Darlington, we work closely with the primary care services and the wider services in the community, as well as our Colleagues within TEWV.
The Team are involved in regular Transfer of Care Meetings, MDT's and system wide huddles with other agencies.
Main duties of the job
The Gateway/Hub Team currently follow a pathway which involves triage of referrals received into the team, from this point we look at the right service for the patient.
The Team may also complete telephone initial needs reviews or full mental health assessments, following this if appropriate the patient can be offered 12 weeks one to one interventions or the patient can be offered one of 2 groups.
In addition, the team facilitate depots at home and in clinic, as well as monitor patients on long term medication . Lithium, Clozapine, HDAT, etc.
Currently we have long waiting lists for ADHD and ASD and have a long-term plan to work with our patients waiting to be able to complete the assessments and reduce the waiting time.
As part of the role as Clinical Specialist Nurse you will work closely with the leadership in the continued development of the services.
