We are recruiting for a qualified Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner with a desire to make a difference and want to further their knowledge, skill and experience in a supportive and progressive environment.


Health in Mind is a large primary care mental health service that serves the people of East Sussex, with the exception of Brighton and Hove.

You will be working within a defined geographical area (to be determined upon appointment), delivering telephone or video calling appointments primarily and face to face appointments where needed (approximately 1 day a week) although flexibility in appointment types can be discussed at interview.

As a PWP practitioner in Health in Mind you will be responsible for your own caseload, offering high quality, evidence-based low intensity interventions including telephone, face to face, group and online sessions.

You will receive support from our Senior Clinicians and your team lead in the form of case management and clinical supervision.

To protect the health and safety of our staff/workers, patients, and those attending our sites, we encourage our workforce to get fully vaccinated against COVID

The client's experience of our service is very important to us.

We work towards supporting clients in their recovery by offering evidence-based therapy with therapists who receive regular and supportive supervision and regular CPD.

We promote service user involvement. Health in Mind has a Service User Steering Group which provides valuable input to our service design and delivery. We care about our staff. We have a staff-wellbeing-champions team, and are committed to staff engagement. We know that for our clinicians to do a good job they need to feel supported.

There is opportunity for varied and flexible working patterns and home working and working hours can be discussed in the interview.

We are keen for our clinicians to grow. We aim to offer staff individual appraisals with the opportunity to become involved in a range of activities, such as group-based interventions, teaching, supervision and service development

To provide high quality primary care IAPT services to adults with mild to moderate mental

health problems using cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) based, self-management interventions

to clients with mild to moderate anxiety and depression

To work autonomously within professional guidelines and the overall framework of team policies

and procedure.

To deliverIAPTservices in accordance with NICE guidelines, within agreed activity levels and

model, meeting required key performance indicators (KPIs).

To provide advice and consultation on client's care, to other clinicians and to non-professional

carers.

To promote wellbeing and social inclusion.

To work flexibly and in accordance with service demands.

The post holder will work with people with different cultural backgrounds and ages,

using interpreters when necessary and should be committed to equal opportunities

To work to the agreed number of clinical contacts per week as set by the Team Lead
