Job Description:

Job purpose


The Customer Demand Planner will be responsible for the creation and submission of demand and forecasting reports for the Scotland sites.

They will drive the commercial submission for the S&OP process and analyse data and reports for strategic decisions such as customer transitions, inventory build, and reconciliation between supply/demand

Principal accountabilities

  • Creates monthly reports driving the Scotland S&OP and forecasting process
  • Collects information on supply/demand scenarios and provides to the product management and commercial teams to support decision making
  • Prepares adhoc reports required by the business including but not limited to demand scenarios, contribution margins, forecast risk analysis, customer names/regions, and the like to drive strategic decisions
  • Generates data required by the business for both the immediate term (monthly/quarterly) as well as 1, 3 and 10year strategic planning process
  • Advises functional and business managers on forecasting scenarios as well as risks and opportunities
  • Liaises between commercial and supply chain/operational teams to ensure delivery of the sales plan
  • Creates customization of reports and to the CRM system as required not only for the Scotland site, but global commercial team as required
  • Identifies and implements areas of improvement for current systems and processes with regards to demand planning and forecasting
  • Ensure optimum production plans are in place to meet business requirements. This includes creating and maintaining production schedules that support the business forecasts and agreed safety stocks.
  • Review capacity planning and input to production; attend daily operational meetings communicating production plans. Manage release of Batch sheet documentation to production areas.
  • Ensure effective linkage with Supply Chain providing forward supply simulations to ensure on time availability of products in line with demand requirements. Identify & highlight production and capacity issues and recommend actions for resolution.
  • Optimise the use of ERP system to aid purchasing and supporting functions, ensuring production schedules and production data are updated in timely manner.
  • Ensure effective linkage between planning and all other departments with particular emphasis on Production, Purchasing and sales.
  • Ensure that company policies are adhered to at all times.
  • To carry out any other duties which are within the employee's skills and abilities whenever reasonably instructed.

Qualifications:


Qualifications/ knowledge/experience

  • Knowledge and experience of using Microsoft Dynamics CRM
  • Intermediate/advanced Excel skills are essential
  • Previous experience with supply chain / procurement / planning beneficial; manufacturing environment or similar
  • Degree qualified
