£16.80p/h PAYE (incl. Hol. Pay) or £18.95p/h Umbrella (Inside IR35)

3-month contract / Temp to perm

Mechanical / Materials handling / conveyors / gearboxes etc

Our client

I am working with a key client who are a heavy plant, materials handing engineering, construction, and service company, based out Yorkshire.

They require Workshop Mechanical Fitters for an initial three-month contract (with permanent offer thereafter), to assist on the build and assembly of their products.

The successful Workshop Fitter with carry out the following responsibilities:
v Leading the Fitters in the workshop

v Managing the programme's, ensuring work is prioritised.

v Work closely with the workshop Manager.

v Making sure work carried out is to specification / engineering drawings

v Tracking quality and H&S

v Flexible to go to site occasionally. Checks on site etc.

v Preparing all associated equipment for site installations

v Working on an array of equipment such as gearboxes, shafts, head drums, bearings, conveyors, drives and motors, screens, rollers, belts, and valves etc.

v Ability to work professionally to company HSE and quality processes.

The successful Workshop Fitter will ideally have the following:
v Strong communication skills, with a keen eye for Health, Safety and Quality

v Heavy industry mechanical fitting background and supervisor/TL experience

v NVQ L2/3 Fitting, or Time served Mechanical Fitter

v Flexible to travel to site occasionally to assist with initial installations.
