- Keep electronic diary up to date and ensure School Office is aware of all expected visitors
- Add all key events and meetings from the School calendar to the Head's calendar
- Organise any meetings as requested by the Head
- Confirm external diary appointments the day before expected visit
- Prepare supporting paperwork/files ahead of meetings and interviews as required
- Field telephone calls and manage post on behalf of the Head
- Meet weekly with the Head to review the week and confirm diary for following week
- Book rooms, catering and IT for meetings and events
- Take minutes at SLT meetings, SENDA meeting, key parent meetings and other important meetings as required
- Take notes from staff briefings on Friday and circulate to all staff before the weekend
- Draft correspondence for the Head as required
- Oversee Conference Room bookings and ensure priority is given to the Head where necessary
- Proofread key correspondence sent out for the school as required
- Support the Head as sensitive situations arise, always maintaining a high level of confidentiality
- Proofread the Head's reports
- Support preparation of Head's Report to Governors
- Maintain roster of professional development records for teaching staff and arrange meetings with Head as appropriate
- Collate updates to School Development Plan and other management plans
- Co-ordinate School Council meetings, taking minutes and circulating feedback as required
- Liaise with appropriate staff to complete Head's references as required
- Support Bursary Awards Committee - prepare profiles, reports and award letters.
