Unique School Solutions have an amazing opportunity to join an alternative school provision in Barnsley.

This role is an exciting opportunity for people looking for a career in education or a fresh challenge in an inspiring learning environment.

This role would be suitable for someone who has worked within an educational setting before with very challenging pupils or in children's residential homes.


You will be supporting students aged 11-16 years in alternative provisions within secondary schools, this role will be challenging but very fulfilling, establishing positive relationships with pupils is an essential part of this role.

Act as a role model and be aware of, and respond appropriately to individual needs

Attend to pupils' needs including social, emotional, and mental health

Supervise and support pupils ensuring their safety and access to learning

Support pupils to access learning activities as directed by the teacher and in line with their individual learning plans or targets

Deliver pre-planned programmes of work to children using personalised strategies to support reluctant learners to engage and achieve learning goals/objectives

Respond calmly and use initiative, responding effectively to unexpected or unplanned situations or reactions throughout the school day.

Salary:
£85.00-£100.00 per day
