Job summary
An exciting and challenging opportunity has arisen for a dynamic individual with excellent clinical skills and ED experience to enhance their skills as a band 6/7 in ED dependent on experience on a 1 year fixed term contract working the hours of 8am -midnight. Starting hours are flexible.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate would be working at reception/ triage to 'meet and greet' patients, perform rapid triage ensuring the safety of the patients on arrival to the department.
As a Band 6/7 nurse you will be responsible for the day to day flow of the department by ensuring the standards of care are met for children and their family / carers whilst in the emergency department, including delegation and deployment of the nursing team in the absence of a band 7.

As a registered childrens nurse the post holder will provide leadership in care to children, young people and their families in theemergency department
The post holder will be accountable and responsible for providing a high standard of child and family focused care.
To carry out care without direct supervision as part of the Emergency Department team and supervise juniors delivering care.
To communicate effectively with the multidisciplinary team.Contribute towards the effective running of the department including patient safe and timely care.
