    We're working with an innovative and exciting SaaS company that are looking for the first User Researcher to join them

    They're already well bought in to user research; their 15-strong design team currently carry out user research so it's already very established within the organisation.

    The Client

    They're a software brand that design products to help their enterprise level clients' organisations run more smoothly. They've got nearly a million users worldwide, and the vast majority of Fortune 100 users use their tools.

    As a brand, they're well established, but they also come with the excitement, ambition, and entrepreneurship of a start-up

    The Role

    You'd be their first User Researcher, but as mentioned, the Product Designers are well versed in doing UR so there won't be an uphill struggle to carve things out; more an exciting chance to take ownership in building and scaling their research practise.

    Your role here will be focused around leading strategic initiatives around their product portfolio, and really joining up the dots, providing a forward-thinking view to future changes. You'll be getting an in-depth knowledge of the brand and looking at solution areas, being able to actually action your research insights.

    Your role will include:

    • Advocating for user-centric principles, whilst ensuring that research findings directly contribute to the product success
    • Collaborating with Design and Product to translate research findings into actionable insights
    • Executing both generative and evaluative research to inform product development
    • Developing quantitative research methodologies
    • Empowering the designers by sharing best practices, proving your input and advice on research plans, overall strategy and methods where possible
    • Continuously evaluating and refining research processes, keeping abreast of industry trends and advancements and looking to bring innovative practises to the team

    The Candidate

    What they're ideally looking for (and don't worry if you don't tick every single box):

    • You've got proven experience as a Senior User Researcher in a product environment
    • You've got experience with a wide range of quant and qual methodologies
    • Your an excellent communicator, easily able to articulate your ideas and findings to wider teams and various stakeholders
    • You're comfortable working fairly independently, although you'll receive lots of support from the Head of Product Design and Lead Product Designers
    • Not essential, but if you've got previous experience working in a software company then that's great
    • You're excited by the prospect of complex domain work, and you love solving challenging problems
    • You're able to think holistically, carrying out bigger-picture work
    • You've got a strong understanding of the development lifecycle and have lots of experience collaborating directly with developers

    Salary: Up to £65,000

    WFH policy: 1 day/week in Cambridge
