Location:
High Wycombe/Hybrid with travel once a fortnight to our operational sites


Salary:

As Senior Commercial Business Partners you are the key financial and commercial support to Senior Operational leaders helping them set the overall business strategy, drive our contract profitability and operational delivery.

You will be working closely with Operational & Commercial leaders to ensure that bids, tenders, budgets, spend & investment decisions are made with financial rigour.

You will agree financial targets, measure financial performance, develop commercial strategy and actions to improve performance.


What you will do
You will work closely with senior operational & commercial leaders and other support teams to drive strategic commercial objectives to make healthcare better for our patients by

  • Business Partnering the operational Senior Management Team.
  • Leading the team to ensure robust understanding of your service line markets, customers, suppliers and our commercial relationships with them
  • Financially and commercially leading new business opportunities, working with the business to ensure these are compelling for our customers and commercial attractive for InHealth with rigorous financials to support
  • Providing relevant and key financial reporting, enabling business performance to be tracked and understood
  • Liaising and communicating with customers on business issues and opportunities.
  • Be part of the senior commercial finance management team, driving commercial innovation, setting vision and direction for allocated business unit
  • Inspire, motivate and be a role model for members within your team, investing within them and their personal development plan
  • Building and delivering on ambitious, but realistic financial plans with key operational leaders to help drive the business forward including
  • Attract, recruit and develop key talent within your team.
  • Using foresight to identify opportunities to improve financial performance or patient experience
  • Building strong relationships across the organisation to drive business performance, being a go to person for your area
  • Mentoring nonfinancial professionals to improve their financial acumen.

What you are responsible for

  • Reviewing and overseeing the monthly management accounts for your allocated business units, analysing trends and performance for monthly business reviews, including development of KPIs
  • Articulating the story and trends behind the numbers in a clear and articulate way
  • Developing and improving the consolidation and reporting of the business unit numbers
  • Providing & reviewing key commercials analysis relevant to the business needs for use in pricing and costing decisions
  • Providing commercial support to the business leadership teams in support of complex agreements, market evaluation, determination and execution of strategy
  • Providing financial analysis for the annual planning process for the business
  • Ensuring rigor, control and support over the annual budget process for the business so that it is owned by the business and consistent with Group framework guidance and targets
  • Reviewing and giving decision making insight into the monthly forecasts for the next month, full year and comparison to plan periods as required
  • Financially leading on the delivery of pricing or costing models in support of business opportunities
  • Providing analysis of investments (including complex capital expenditure)
  • Identifying system and process developments to ensure focus on continual improvement of activities within the InHealth finance team
  • Ensuring that cost efficiency is paramount within the business by identifying areas of unnecessary expenditure
  • Improving the profitability of the business by evaluating options around pricing, operating models (opening hours, booking system costs, etc.), use of capacity and consumables
  • Acting as a mentor to junior members of the finance team and supporting their development

You will have experience of

  • Working seamlessly with senior operational leaders to deliver financial performance
  • Developing a business plan and driving financial performance through review and action setting
  • Change management
  • Acquisitions and divestments of companies
  • Qualified Accountant with over 3 years PQE
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint Skills
  • Knowledge of financial systems
  • Good Interpersonal Skills
  • Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
  • Attention to detail
  • Adaptable / flexible approach
  • Valid UK Driving License
