    Highly Specialist Clinical/Counselling Psychologist – Young People

    Are you an experienced and innovative HCPC registered Clinical or Counselling Psychologist? Do you want to make a difference and be part of a new and dynamic mental health team? A unique opportunity has arisen to make a significant impact on the lives of young people in Hull, providing formulation driven psychological interventions for concurrent substance use and mental health difficulties.

    In this role, you will provide individual and group psychological interventions, utilising evidence-based approaches tailored to the needs of 16-25 year olds which address both problem substance use and concurrent mental health difficulties.

    You will be joining a team of compassionate and motivated mental health professionals, including consultant and principal clinical/counselling psychologists, assistant psychologists, trainee psychologists on placement and dual diagnosis speciality mental health nurses.

    You will also be part of our national Psychology Directorate for reflective practice, peer support, research, and CPD opportunities.

    Under the supervision of a senior HCPC registered Clinical/Counselling Psychologist, the post holder will ensure that people who access our services receive high quality care that adheres to best practice guidelines, and you will be supported to develop and thrive within the role.

    Our model is integrative and adopts trauma informed care approaches, emphasising physical, psychological, and emotional safety to help people to rebuild a sense of empowerment in their lives and in their communities.

    Through consultancy, reflective practice, team formulation, training and clinical case management, the post holder will help the wider team create an innovative and effective trauma-informed service.
