Bookings Team Leader

Cambridge Hospital | Permanent Contract | Full Time

37.5 Hours per week

Up to £27,500 per annum depending on experience

Nuffield Health Cambridge Hospital currently has an opportunity for a Bookings Team Leader.

The Role


The Bookings Team Leader will be responsible for inpatient and outpatient bookings, supervising and ensuring excellent customer and colleague service and that the needs of the business are met including managing, appraising, and interpreting data, information and / or situations.


As our Bookings Team Lead you will:
ensure the work within the area of bookings administration and support meets all required standards and timescales.

handle all enquires, or queries raised efficiently and effectively, escalating appropriately where necessary.


ensure all data/information is entered, modified, maintained and presented accurately and efficiently using the appropriate electronic or manual system and format.

schedule / rota, ensuring cover is arranged for all gaps in the rotas and personally covering any unfilled shifts

participate in the induction, training and mentoring of new staff

ensure that work is carried out to deadlines and within agreed working practices and procedures

The Person


To succeed as a Bookings Team Leader, you will need:
experience in managing a large team

good communication/interpersonal skills

good IT and keyboard skills

knowledge and understanding of clinical terminology

demonstrable relevant experience working within a similar role

Key information about the role.

The bookings team is a fast moving, busy department.

We are looking for an experienced individual to lead the team and oversee the day to day activity to ensure administrative duties are completed to required standards and timescales.

Monthly reporting is a key element of the role, and you would be required to effectively access, modify, maintain and present data.
