- To assist the Doctor or Nurse throughout the clinical examination or clinical procedure of patients in sexual health clinics.
- To offer emotional support to patients during the examination procedure.
- To act as a chaperone to both medical and nursing staff as required according to trust policy.
- Evidence of qualifications obtained at secondary/high school or equivalent experience.
- NVQ 3 or equivalent
- ECDL qualification
- To have worked in a hospital or community health care setting in the last 12 months
- Previous work experience in a sexual health setting
- Currently performs venepuncture
- Evidence of good communication abilities both written and verbal
- Ability to work on own initiative

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Sexual Health services team based in West Lancashire. The job is hours per week and flexibility to work across our sites in Skelmersdale and Ormskirk is required.

We operate from several clinical hubs based in Blackpool, Preston, Lancaster, Burnley and Ormskirk,
Main duties of the job
The main duties of this role are :-
Assisting clinicians & being the patients advocate during examination and procedures.
Administrative duties, recording of observations such as :-Blood pressure, height, weights and venepuncture.
The successful candidate would be expected to be flexible and prepared to work some evenings and Saturdays.
