    Description

    Lockton's Global Real Estate practice is looking for an experienced Real Estate Account Handler to join them in a client and market-facing role that offers excellent opportunity for professional development.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Responsible for the day to day servicing of clients' insurance programmes
    • Obtain quotations both or new and renewal business. Research, prepare and present renewal reports
    • Prepare market presentations in line with agreed protocols
    • Effectively respond and manage with queries (and to the satisfaction of the client and the market), including but not limited to changes in cover and risk
    • Identify the risk exposures and advise on insurance and risk management solutions in consultation with your team
    • Manage and coordinate global insurance programmes and liaise with the network worldwide as necessary
    • Build and nurture close, long-lasting relationships by developing a constantly expanding network of client contacts
    • Serve clients as an advocate for their needs, ensuring delivery of exceptional service through close and regular interaction
    • Seek to identify methods of enhancing services and adding greater value to clients and maintain a robust approach, delivering a service plan and annual timetable of visits aligned to their needs
    • Act as a point of referral for Insurance Administrators and present solutions for discussion with wider team where required
    • Provide feedback for insurer review meetings and actively contribute to the development of relationships
    • Cultivate a positive and wide-ranging network of relationships with insurers, lawyers and loss adjusters

    Essential

    • Previous experience within Real Estate or Property insurance, gained from a broking or underwriting setting
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills – able to impactfully communicate with a range of stakeholders in a variety of settings
    • Personable – able to build effective and positive relationships, and communicate both informally and in formal situations
    • Commercially astute – able to quickly interpret commercial challenges and driven to find solutions for our clients
    • Analytical mindset – driven to understand and leverage insights
    • Excellent organisation skills
    • Drive to learn – with a work ethic of continual improvement and excellent service

    Desirable

    • Previous experience with European/International Property/Real Estate business
    • European language skills
