The opportunity:

As a Payment Services Administrator your role is to ensure that all commission payments are received, reconciled and processed, ensuring Firms/Partners consistently receive timely and accurate payment.

The team's core target is to ensure a minimum 99% of all receipts received are investigated and matched each month.

This is a combined responsibility in excess of £20 million per month and over £250 million per annum.


You'll also help to ensure all Partner/Provider queries are satisfactorily resolved, assisting senior members of the team with more technical payment questions and legacy queries, helping to ensure they are dealt with in accordance with The Openwork Partnership standards, the aim always being to delight the customer.

In addition, you will liaise with with relevant teams within The Openwork Partnership as required (e.g. FIRST, Finance, DBT and AQT), ensuring that all payment/reconciliation/regulatory related responsibilities and queries are resolved effectively and efficiently.

This will involve working closely with our Panel Providers, helping to establish and maintain strong working relationships / clear points of escalation in the event of issues with payment files and general queries, to better deliver a first-class payment experience.


What will you need to succeed?:

  • A good understanding of Partners/Advisers with an appreciation of the challenges and pressures they face, with the ability to deal/adapt accordingly.
  • Ability to handle challenging customers with very high expectation levels.
  • Understanding of related policies and procedures as affects/impacts payments.
  • Financial Services background/awareness.
  • Experience of dealing with hardwired mandatory targets and to strict SLAs.
  • Ability to communicate effectively at a variety of local levels, using various mediums.
  • Good written and verbal communicator.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to take direction when managing workflow/multiple tasks; comfortable and able to prioritise to ensure deadlines are met, switching tasks as necessary.
  • Strong working knowledge of internal systems and Microsoft Office package.
