    An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Consultant to join a global law firm on a contract basis. This role can be based in either London, Milton Keynes, Edinburgh or Glasgow.

    My client's Consultants work alongside their legal delivery teams in a client facing role. You will work closely with Clients, Partners and Associates across the firm, as they look to expand their premium managed service offering. The goal is to focus on all aspects of delivery, process improvement and innovation, providing clients with an exceptional level of service throughout the client lifecycle.

    We are looking for high performing candidates from either a legal or professional services consulting background, who have experience in delivering complex projects and/or implementing change.

    Responsibilities:

  • Planning, designing, leading and delivering large-scale transformational programmes or projects both internally and for clients, and proactively monitoring progress, budgets, resolving issues and initiating corrective actions
  • The ability to work with clients and other departments to understand the challenge across process, technology, people and data, and design a solution which will deliver the project to meet their objectives and realise tangible benefits
  • Building credible, trusted advisor relationships with key client stakeholders
  • Playing a role to support in the business development opportunities, including identifying opportunities and significantly contributing to RFIs, RFPs and pitches
  • Mentor and coach junior colleagues to assist with their development
  • Contribute to the continuous development and improvement of methodologies and processes
  • Information gathering and business analysis, including data analysis and identifying trends with data
  • Run focus groups and workshops
  • Develop and coordinate all training required for deliverySkills & Experience required:
  • A strong academic record with a minimum 2:1 undergraduate degree;
  • Knowledge of formal project management methodologies and programme planning and control techniques;
  • A track record of successfully delivering projects;
  • Highly organised with the ability to prioritise and manage tasks in a fast paced and dynamic environment;
  • Excellent attention to detail;
  • Strong budgeting and numeracy skills; with experience of project budget and resource allocation responsibility;
  • Strong communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills with the ability to confidently interact at all levels;
  • Strong influencing skills and ability to work positively and sensitively with senior stakeholders
  • Ability to think logically and pragmatically whilst being willing to challenge and question assumptions and propose alternative solutions to problems;
  • Competent with MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio) and receptive to the use of new technology
