Description

Full Time, Permanent
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Business Operations Team Leader to join Bristol City Council's Community Learning Team.

Bristol Community Learning engages with people who have significant barriers to learning and work. We help raise confidence whilst developing skills and knowledge so learners can progress to further learning and work.

We have high aspirations for those we work with and are committed to providing a wide range of courses developed to meet our learners' needs.

Along with high-quality teaching, we are passionate about achieving the best possible outcomes to help our learners succeed.

To achieve this, we rely on our Business Operations and Learning Centre Support Team who liaise with and support all Adult and Community Learning stakeholders.

This includes, learners, development workers, tutors, team leaders and the Adult and Community Learning manager.

Your role will be to ensure provision of high-level business support to the Adult and Community Learning Team, including the supervision and monitoring of data entry and the production of regular and timely reports to ensure accurate information can be provided to team leaders, managers and funders.

You will also oversee the reproduction of course resources for development workers and tutors and the raising and processing of purchase orders, invoices and financial information.

You will also take an operational lead on processes relating to HR, CPD, DBS, health and safety monitoring and exam administration.

You will manage a team of Learning Centre Support assistants who are located across two sites.

You will therefore need to be a good motivator, able to inspire and bring out the best in people.

The offices need to have a Business Operations and Learning Centre Support presence 5 days a week from 8:30am to 5:00pm and so the post holder will need to be able to work from the office at least 3 days a week.

The main office is at the Park Centre in South Bristol, which has a community café and ample parking.

At least once a month theyou will need to work from the Adult Learning Centre at Stoke Lodge in Stoke Bishop which also has ample parking.
