    We are looking for a learning and development Trainer / Teacher to join a global energy firm.

    Ideally you will be a STEM graduate with at least 5 years in a teaching or instucting role. Although the role is based within an Energy/Engineering environment you do not need that industry experience. The company are happy to train you on the technical side but what they hope you will bring is an engaging teaching and training manner and style.

    They would consider someone from the teaching, education sector who wants to make a move from that into industry.

    Join our dynamic team in the energy sector, focusing on pipeline and terminal operations. We are seeking a skilled Training Specialist who can use their transferrable educational skills as our subject matter expert in staff training and competency management.

    Yes it would include regular travel to Avonmouth, Cardiff, Plymouth, Pembroke, Manchester, Dublin, Belfast. Ideally we would like someone Avonmouth, Bristol Area as they will have be based there.

    It is likely you will travel approximately 50% of the month but you chose when that is.

    Training Specialist

    Responsibilities:

    Develop and manage a dynamic curriculum for the Pipeline & Terminal group across several locations.
    - Research, develop and deliver technical training materials for the pipeline and terminal operational group.
    - Assess competencies within the team and identify knowledge gaps for targeted development.
    - Manage relationships and liaise with external regulatory bodies, such as the HSE, EA and NRW and auditors, to ensure compliance and continuous improvement in relation to training and competency.

    Educational Level and Professional Qualifications Required/Ideal:
    - Minimum Required: Higher Technical Qualification or Degree Level Education in a STEM subject (Physical Science, Technology or Engineering discipline).
    - Ideal: Bachelor's Degree in a relevant STEM subject (Physical Science, Technology or Engineering discipline).
    Experience (including number of years in role) Required/Ideal:
    - Minimum Required: 5 years in a teaching/instruction role, Key Stage 3+.
    - Ideal: 7+ years, Key Stage 4+.

    Desired Abilities:

    A modern, enthusiastic and inclusive approach to teaching practice.
    - Ability to turn existing written resources and standards into dynamic and interesting training sessions.
    - An understanding of the needs of working in a hazardous environment. Some knowledge of the Control of Major Accident Hazard (COMAH) regulations would be an advantage.
    - Familiarity with the Risk Assessment process in relation to process training.
    - Able to form good working relationships with a range of staff across UK & Ireland facilities.
