If yes, then we want to hear from youWe are seeking a band 7 CAMHS Practitioner to join the Adolescent team in Ealing CAMHS.
CAMHS stands for Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services, and we work with children and young people up to the age of 18 who are experiencing emotional, behavioural or mental health problems.
We offer a range of services, such as assessment, therapy, family work, group work, consultation and training.To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A recognised qualification in a relevant discipline, such as psychology, counselling, psychotherapy, occupational therapy or social work
- Registration with a relevant professional body, such as HCPC, BACP or UKCP
- Experience of working with children and young people with mental health difficulties in a clinical setting
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills
- A commitment to ethical practice and continuous learning
As a band 7 CAMHS Practitioner in our team, you will:
- Assess the needs and strengths of children and young people referred to our service
- Deliver evidencebased interventions tailored to the clients and their families
- Collaborate with other professionals within and outside the service
- Evaluate the outcomes and effectiveness of the interventions provided
- Supervise and support junior staff and trainees
- Contribute to service development and quality improvement
- Participate in duty rota
Ealing CAMHS is a friendly, busy, borough-located service, operating as part of a wider 3-borough CAMHS service, including Hammersmith and Fulham and Hounslow CAMHS, within West London NHS Trust.
This thriving team work from one base in Ealing, which has family therapists, nurses, social workers, psychologists, psychotherapists, and psychiatrists.
This post is based in the adolescent team, a team that offers assessment and therapeutic intervention to young people (14+) and families to help them deal with problems preventing difficulties from escalating to a point where specialist/statutory agencies become necessary.

We are looking to appoint a practitioner who can demonstrate a commitment to creative engagement with a culturally diverse population of young people, who is able to communicate ideas clearly to both professionals and young people alike.
An ability to demonstrate knowledge, competence and an interest in working with young people who present with mental health need is essential for the role.
The post-holder will need to be flexible and show initiative, with the necessary skills and experience to provide high quality care that is both evidence-based and client-focussed.
