    Are you a medical leader with potential to become a Chief Medical Officer?

    West London NHS Trust is excited to recruit a new Deputy Chief Medical Officer. This post results from new investment in medical leadership, and the flexible retirement of the current post holder, to expand the portfolio and opportunities of the position. It is an excellent, outward looking role, with flexibility to adapt some elements to meet the developmental needs and areas of interest of the right candidate.

    Salary £99,532 - £131,964 pro rata per annum plus London weighting and Responsibility Allowance up to 20K.

    West London NHS Trust is one of the most diverse in the country, and has a very wide range of community and mental health services in local boroughs, and in nationally renowned units such as Broadmoor and the Cassel Hospitals. We have many highly regarded teams including QI and medical education, including an exciting partnership with Brunel University's new medical school to complement our traditional work with Imperial College. We are ambitious, not least in staff engagement and growing a positive and supportive culture and which are key priorities.

    We are rated Good by the CQC and is a key partner in the North West London ICS.

    The post-holder will join the Medical Directorate team. They will gain experience and relationships across the portfolio, in the Trust and wider system, and lead on areas Trust wide. The Directorate enjoys excellent professional relationships and will benefit further from the increased resilience and collaboration made possible by this new investment in medical leadership.

    We are looking for a medical leader who wishes to develop themselves and the organisation, who has credibility and breadth of ability to lead in complex clinical and organisational situations with compassion, and knowledge.
