    We are looking for a Senior Therapeutic Radiographer to join our team at ESNEFT. Your base site will be Ipswich Hospital with the opportunity to also work at Colchester Hospital.

    We focus on delivering high quality treatments in line with the National Radiotherapy Service specification. We see the holistic care of patients as paramount throughout the patient journey.

    You will provide the highest quality of technical practice, patient care and ensure targets are achieved and be encouraged to gain a comprehensive set of skills and competencies. You will be supported in your professional learning and development and we actively encourage post qualification study. You will also be key to the training of undergraduate therapeutic radiography students and support with mentoring and training.

    Our hospitals are equipped with Varian Truebeam linear accelerators, currently 2 are being replaced with a Halycon and an Ethos. All are equipped with Intensity Modulated Radiotherapy (IMRT) and Volumetric Arc Therapy (VMAT) capability, On-board Imaging (OBI) systems for image guided radiotherapy (IGRT) using planar imaging and cone beam CT (CBCT) and respiratory gating. They also have the capability to deliver Stereotactic Ablative Body Radiotherapy (SABR).

    We are looking for a Therapeutic Radiographer who shares our vision of providing state of the art treatment, delivered by caring and supportive professionals.

    Main duties of the job
    • You will have the opportunity to part of a team that is continuously innovating to improve services that we can offer to our patients.
    • Participate in and supervise the team in all aspects of clinical work related to the preparation, delivery and verification of Radiotherapy to maintain the highest professional and technical standards of Radiotherapy and patient care, liaising with the multi-disciplinary team to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
    • You will have the opportunity to develop your organisational and leadership skills in the day-to-day running of the treatment unit and create an environment in which staff and students can learn and reach their full potential.
    • To support the Macmillan radiographer in the management of treatment related side effects.
    • In conjunction with the Operational lead, ensure patients are treated within target dates, and that the unit workload is managed to minimise waiting times ensuring staff work efficiently as a team.

    • Relevant HCPC registration

    • Experience of working to a high standard with a wide range of techniques and equipment
    • Experience and competency with modern portal Imaging
    • Experience with electronic Record and verify systems
    • Patient assessment and care
    • Dealing with people with varying physical and psychological capabilities and in complex situations
    • Evidence of CPD
    Desirable
    • Experience and practice with latest technological advances
