HR BUSINESS PARTNER - TEMP TO PERM OPPORTUNITY.

Responsibilities:


  • Engage in a regular and structured way with designated directorate(s) leadership teams and line managers to: Develop and document a full understanding of strategy and priorities.
  • Translate directorate strategy and priorities into action plans relevant to this area of Professional Services, and be accountable for ongoing delivery of these plans and their impact.
  • Measurably enhance the understanding, decisionmaking, capability and selfsufficiency of line managers in designated directorate(s), through, for example:
  • Designing and delivering a rolling 'policy into practice' programme;
  • Supporting employees through change.
  • Prepare and communicate processes, feedback mechanisms and management information reports to effectively baseline and monitor levels of productivity, inclusivity and engagement in the designated directorate(s) in relation to this area of Professional Services.
  • Identify and assess improvement opportunities in and across Directorate areas that will add value to the business, championing continuous improvement efforts.
  • Work collaboratively across the Professional Services directorate (and in particular, other Business Partners) to define and effectively communicate a coherent, consistent, servicedriven, ambitious and inspiring vision that promotes productivity, inclusivityand engagement for all.
  • Manage the expectations of designated directorate(s) and (in partnership with the Operations Manager) the responsiveness and quality of services provided.
  • Be accountable for oversight/coordination of activity relating to specific Peoplerelated disciplines, e.g.
  • Resourcing, Redesign and Employee Relations;

  • The Lead Business Partner role(s) will deputise for the Assistant Director, People and Inclusion, with delegated authority agreed on an adhoc basis.
  • The postholder is accountable as the primary point of technical expertise, advice and guidance for directorate(s) comprising FTE.
  • Business Partners are required to establish effective working relationships at all levels of seniority, and in particular with their designated directorate(s) leadership teams, and Professional Services Business Partners and Operations Managers.
  • Work plans will be codeveloped with the Head of Service Transformation (HoST) to ensure alignment with wider programme management activity, and regular progress reports will be provided to the HoST and/or other coordinating groups by the Business Partner.
  • As more systematised ways of working evolve, it is envisaged that the majority of operational/'businessasusual' (BAU) delivery will be handled by the function's Operations Manager(s). However, depending on the postholder's areas of knowledge and experience,there may be a requirement for Business Partners to accommodate such work until corresponding processes have fully matured. Business Partners will play a key role in identifying processes suitable for transition into BAU Operations, and for driving this transitionthrough adaptations to ways of working, processes and technologies.
  • The Lead Business Partner will be expected to support/cover absence of other Business Partners and the Operations Manager, as appropriate, to ensure continuity of service.

Qualifications:

Educated to degree level, or the equivalent professional experience.

CIPD qualified, level 5 Diploma or above and relevant professional experience.
