- Conduct thorough evaluations of projectrequirements including scope specifications and timelines to gain acomprehensive understanding of project needs.
- Utilize cost estimation techniques and tools to analyzevarious aspects of the project including materials labor equipmentand overhead costs.
- Gather relevant data fromvarious sources such as historical project data industry benchmarkssupplier quotations and internal resources to ensure the accuracyof cost estimates.
- Identify potential risksand uncertainties associated with project costs and developstrategies to mitigate these risks effectively.
- Work closely with crossfunctional teams includingengineering procurement and finance.
- Build andimprove estimation processes from start to finish and coach anddevelop a team.
- Prepare detailed documentationof cost estimates.
- Stay updated on industrytrends best practices and advancements in cost estimationmethodologies to enhance the accuracy and efficiency.
- Assist in the preparation of bids and proposals byproviding accurate cost estimates and supporting documentation toenhance the competitiveness of our offerings in themarket.
- Communicate cost estimates and relatedinformation effectively to internal stakeholders clients andproject partners
- Proven experience in cost estimation preferably in thepower generation or marine industries.
- Stronganalytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data anddevelop accurate cost estimates.
- Proficiencyin cost estimation software/tools and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with theability to collaborate effectively across teams and communicatecomplex technical concepts to nontechnical stakeholders.
- Detailoriented mindset with a focus on accuracy andprecision.
- Ability to work under pressure andmeet tight deadlines in a dynamic project environment.
- Strong problemsolving skills and the ability to thinkcritically to identify and address potential challenges in costestimation processes.
