Description
Location - London, Aldgate HouseRole Purpose
Executes visual communication design assignments from concept to completion - including taking the creative brief, soliciting feedback, achieving sign off and coordinating publication/distribution.
Graphic design
Extracts briefs and requirements from a variety of stakeholders from across the global business
Being creative within the brief while remaining mindful of the constraints of cost and time
Presents own creative ideas and concepts to internal customers
Develops conceptual design work for print and digital and delivers print-ready artwork
Develops templates across Microsoft Office 365 products and Adobe Creative Suite for easy of use by non-designers
Delivers on-brand materials for the business across all channels and all platforms (O365 included) as required
Ability to take photography and shoot video when required
To work closely with the in-house digital marketing team to develop design and technical skills for the design of online media such as website and intranet
Occasional copy writing may be required
Brand guardian
Acts as a custodian of the brand on the back of a complete understanding of brand journey, brand position and brand differentiators
Develops a good understanding of the business, the industry and competition
Takes a leading role in the maintenance of the in-house image library
Motion graphics
Develops storyboards to map-out motion graphic projects with a good understanding of storytelling
Looks for opportunities to animate static communications for use across corporate digital noticeboards
Organisation and people
Plans own projects from start to finish including sign off processes and coordinating external suppliers on occasion
Works as a member of the wider department, providing insight and knowledge where applicable
Responsible for project tracking using the department's project management system
Quality control
Ensures error-free delivery through meticulous attention to detail
Ensures all relevant approvals are gained prior to publication with a robust audit trail
Ensures all documents for print are output as print-ready artwork
Ensures consistency and brand compliance

Leads by example in self-development, continuous improvement and widening personal networks
Constantly strives to improve quality, consistency and output
Contributes to the total effectiveness of the department, communicating openly, solving problems proactively, offering creative ideas and working as a positive, engaged team member
Skills & experience
Portfolio of own work to demonstrate strong design skills and experience
Demonstrable ability to design in accordance to brand guidelines
Above-average IT-literacy, with:
Excellent Adobe Creative Suite - InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator
Basic CMS experience.
Presenting skills and able to articulate concepts to non-designers effectively
Qualifications:
Degree educated or similar in Graphic Design or related
