We have an opportunity to join our Talent Management team as Talent Consultant. This role will support our strategy of creating "the most capable workforce".

The Talent Management team sits as part of Talent & Inclusion in the People Function.

We're responsible for providing inclusive talent management for all career stages enabling those at entry level, right through to those at a senior leadership level, the opportunity to reach their potential.

As a team we're focussed on ensuring a strong internal and external pipeline of high-quality and diverse future talent through talent identification and management activity, and Executive Recruitment.


As a Talent Consultant you will play a key role in various elements of the talent management framework including supporting succession planning, talent reviews and analysing key themes from talent identification and development interventions.

You'll aso support our Executive Resourcing team in senior executive attraction and hiring.

You will need to be comfortable in planning and organising, prioritisation, data analysis and stakeholder management.

We're looking for someone who is passionate about talent management and is curious, looking to the external market and colleagues to find different ways to do things.

What you'll be doing:


From supporting the team to scope and design new processes and frameworks to analysing talent data themes, you'll play an important role in us providing inclusive talent management to all colleagues across the Society.

You'll work closely with Talent Management and Executive Resourcing colleagues, as well as teams across the People Function.
Strong communication skills are key, working alongside the team on deadlines with a well organised, detailed, and accurate manner.


About you:

As a minimum requirement you'll have;

  • Strong, hands on planning and organisational skills and the ability to work to deadlines, manage and own multiple competing priorities with a delivery focused approach
  • Knowledge and or familiarity of HRM systems and advanced proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and SharePoint. You should be able to work with VLook-Ups, formulas and Pivot Tables as an example.
  • Experience translating People / HR metrics and analytics to make informed recommendations with strong attention to detail
  • Strong experience interpreting and analysing confidential data, extracting meaningful insights, and presenting in a visually compelling format suitable for a wide range of audiences. Knowing this audience and how to present the data will be key as you will operate with differing levels of seniority.
  • Experience of collaborating with key internal stakeholders to determine how best to support the Talent Management team objectives
  • Stakeholder management experience at all levels with strong focus on influencing and collaboration with key internal stakeholders
  • A curious nature with a passion to seek out external insight and views from others in order to feed them back into the team and activities
  • Commercially astute, with some experience in supporting the development of business cases
It would be nice if you also had;

  • Experience as a Talent Consultant or similar role or an ability to illustrate an understanding of working in a People / HR environment
  • Previous experience with applicant tracking system, talent management processes and systems
