    Job Description

An opportunity has come up with an established Central London main contractor for someone to help create a smooth and seamless transition from the Preconstruction team to the delivery team. The specific division that have the vacancy typically undertakes their Cat A / Cat B office fit out work in Central London, anything ranging from £1 - £30m.

This role is going to suit someone who has previously held an on-site delivery role so that you have an appreciation and understanding of how a project is physically delivered. Too often in contracting businesses there is a disconnect between those in preconstruction who have not got the real-world delivery experience and therefore tender programmes and construction methodology decisions are questioned when handed over to the delivery team – this is where you can come in.

You will take ownership of the entire tender process, working with the rest of the preconstruction team to put together a successful tender pack to pitch to the prospective client. Your expertise will be drawn upon around construction programme, methodology, technical knowledge and other areas to ensure the process runs as seamlessly as possible.

    Experience / Skills required:

    • Commercial Office Fit Out Experience (ideally in Central London) on projects up to a minimum of £10m.
    • Comfortable putting together construction programmes (ASTA)
    • Effective communicator – both internally (working with the Estimator, Proposals Manager, Planner, Directors etc.) and externally (with the client and professional teams)
    • Leadership – this will be a Senior role working closely with the Divisional Director.

    Salary range £90,000 - £120,000.
